Girls' Down Parka
Daughter thinks its a cool coat!
Personally I love the HOT HOT PINK coat for my toddler. Its a very light and warm coat but it does run big. My daughter is pretty petite so I hesitated based on other reviews of it running big and just went with her mesurements - I should have listened to everyone else. Its definitely big. I'm not returning it because they no longer have this color in a smaller size so it will serve for another year. So listen up... this coat runs big so go a size smaller.

My daughter picked out this coat after looking at other land end's coats online. Yes, she went for the bright orange. Bright colors seem to be popular now. My daughter is very slender for a nine year old. We ordered the 10/12 size. It fits great with growing room which is a plus in my book. I like that land end's coats are basic without extras such as belts, buttons, and embellishments. Also, warmth is an important factor which some in the coat industry seem to have forgotten about our children needing warm attire such as coats, gloves, and mittens. Thanks Land's End!

Love this coat!
Stylish and warm, the "electric crimson," as noted here, is really more of a neon coral (in the orange family), than red. My daughter loves it for its color, I love it for its on-sale price and details: navy and white contrast stitching, some nice seaming, on-trend pockets. About the sizing: it does run a little big, but since my 10 year old is not particularly skinny it fit perfectly (whereas in most things we need a 12, and in skinny jeans we have to go to 14). As far as the sleeves go, they are a _tad_ long, but not ridiculously so. There are hidden, elasticized cuffs that take care of that issue very nicely. Overall, I was so surprised with how well this fit, and how good it looks -- slenderizing! - and how warm it keeps her, that I am contemplating buying one in blue for next year.

It IS as orange as a traffic cone, but...
we loved it! It is very bright and stands in a crowd! Everyone compliment my daughter on this parka and ask were did we get it. It IS very thing though but feels warm anyway. My girl is almost 10 and size M (10-12) is making parka looks like a coat (sleeves long too). Overall we are very happy with our purchase!

Don't buy if you don't like glaring neon pink color!
The picture does not reflect the incredible brightness of the electric pink color and I am disappointed I bought it. I was hoping the pink would coordinate with the pink color on the fleece pom hat but NO! I am returning this jacket immediately and won't be trying the electric crimson after hearing someone state that color is NOT red, but ORANGE and I can only imagine how awful!

It's not red; it's ORANGE.
Very disappointed. I don't know HOW this jacket could have retailed originally at $110! It's very thin and the picture makes it more sturdy than it actually is. The color is terrible in natural light! As orange as a traffic cone.
Also, it runs really big. I have a daughter who is 49" and typically wears a size 6-8 in girls' sizes and this coat fit her perfectly. TOO BAD this coat was purchased for my 5 year old who DOES where a size 5 usually. It was BIG on her.

Wonderful style, but VERY thin.
I bought this as a larger size replacement for an older Lands End coat my daughter is growing out of. This one is very similar in style, but VERY different in make-up. It is extremely thin, and I would hesitate to put her outside at -10 in this. We live in Fairbanks, AK, and it is -45 degrees today. This coat wouldn't even begin to keep her warm. It's going back, which is sad, because she LOVES the style.

Great down coat!
Not only does this color pink not exist in nature--I can't say I've ever seen any other garment in this shade either. VERY bright. LOL. But that's perfect for the grade school girl crowd. Lovely shape. Long enough that it'll keep her warm at outdoor venues where we sit on bleachers--not many coats on the market in her size can do that.

ELECTRIC PINK DOES MEAN, (NEON HOT PINK)!!
THERE'S SOO MANY DIFFERENT COLORS AS TO WHAT PEOPLE CALL NEON PINK. AFTER READING ALL OF THE REVIEWS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, I DECIDED TO PURCHASE THIS DOWN COAT FOR MY SLIM WAISTED, BROAD SHOULDERS AND SLENDER FRAME LITTLE 7 YR OLD. JUST RECEIVED IT TODAY. I LOVE THE COLOR AND STYLE OF IT. AND WITH THE WHITE AND NAVY STRIPES RUNNING DOWN THE JACKET AND ALONG THE POCKETS, GIVES THIS COAT SOME FUNK!! WHAT CAN U SAY, IT'S ELECTRIC PINK!! GREAT NAME FOR IT.... I DIDN'T TRY IT ON HER YET BUT BY LOOKING AT IT, I KNOW I BROUGHT THE CORRECT SIZE (L6X).... SHE'S GONNA LOVE IT...... I AM BUYING ANOTHER COLOR FOR HER.......

Great Coat !!!
I just received this coat for my daughter and it is gorgeous. The pink is really bright but my daughter of 10 loooves the coat. I had her go outside to test it out and she said she was quite warm. Thanks Landsend for having this coat and to top it all off for the great sale. I definetly would recommend this to my friend.
