Color Fades!
We loved the fit of this little skirt, and especially the color. A bright cherry red. After 7 days in Hawaii, the color had faded to a sickly, pale pink. Not even remotely similar to the skirt of 7 days prior. The color was so pathetic I had to buy a new swimsuit for my 8-year old, there in Hawaii. I'm curious what these suits are like after an entire summer in the sun?

Cute, but shorter than expected
I bought this skirt for my tiny 5yo. She just moved out of the standard size 4 to size 5. I bought the 6 because landsend suits typically run small. This suit fits her perfectly, maybe even small. But I am afraid to order a 6x, because she isn't an x fit. I was surprised that the suit was not bigger on her. The skirt is shorter than I expected, as we are used to the swim shorts. I guess I thought it would be more similar in length. It barely covers her not big at all bottom. And the briefs beneath are a small fit as well. If this were for my older daughters who are growing out of their little girl-ness, I would exchange for the swim skirt (although not available in this pattern) rather than the swim mini.

shorter than other swim minis in the past
I agree with the review before... While the waist fit fine this skirt was shorter than other swim minis we have ordered in the past and was not flattering on my 11 year old daughter. We ordered the check pattern and we were not crazy about it. However, length and patterns are preferences so this may work for your daughter... but we sent it back. I do think it might be cute on a younger child.

Bottoms up
I purchased both the matching top and bottom in the plus size for my daughter. We put the top on first and were quite excited by the fit. It was true to size. The bottoms were a different story. The waist to the bottom was true to size as well, but the actual area that covers the bottom was not. The skirt portion did not hang below the curve of her bottom and the panty piece was quite small as well. Part of each "cheek" was clearly visible. Disappointed with it, but hopeful that we will find something else at Land's End that will cover her up.
