not as advertised
We're long time customers of Landsend so this was a big disappointment. I bought the comforter on sale at March '09 during clearance but did not use it until this winter so was too late to return it. The 'box construction' in advertisement does not work as claimed. The down often shift and bunched up create uneven spot cold and hot. Had to shake it all around to make the comforter all evenly fluffy.

Nice, light weight down comforter!
I ordered a Queen size & it fits my bed well. It is a lighter weight which is just what I wanted. I live in a cold area & my bedroom has no heat so it gets down in the low 40's in there. I have a really warm Primaloft quilt for those super chilly nights but, it gets much too hot when my room is in the upper 40's & 50's & it is quite heavy in weight. This Essential Goose Down Comforter is perfect for my room when it is in the upper 40's, 50's & maybe 60's? I'm using it over just 1 fleece blanket & top sheet right now! It is like sleeping under a cloud. I love it & I feel I'm getting a deeper rest because I am not struggling under the weight of heavy quilts or blankets when I turn over or move around in bed! The quality is nice too. At first I thought it would be too light weight, but after a few days on my bed & with me shaking it to fluff it up every day, the loft is pretty good now! If you are looking for a nice, light weight down comforter, this it the one! My only complaint would be that is is not made in the USA, it is from China. Still...it is decent quality & the down seems to be very clean, no smell at all!
