Ella Vickers, a racing sailor (like our founder) who once served as first mate on an America’s Cup winner, knows the strength of sailcloth.
During an off-season when the ship got new sails, Ella used the old ones to sew bags — totes, duffels and more. Other sailers loved them and wanted ones of their own … and a business was born. Now the Ella Vickers Sailcloth Collection offers handsewn bags made from sailcloth recycled (in this case) from pre-consumer sources, i.e., ends left over from sail making. As you’d expect, the Duffel is ocean-durable, made to stand up to the wind, salt spray and sun that comes with a boating or coastal lifestyle; the sporty style even has a tough, water-resistant cordura nylon base. 100% polyester. Spot clean/air dry. Imported.
