A local Delavan, Wisconsin company uses proven old world techniques to create these Stocking Holders. These are cast from intricately detailed, handcrafted molds and given a pewter finish. They're strong enough to hold up to 5 lbs. and have slip-resistant foam pads on the bottoms to protect your wooden mantel or furniture. Approximately 3 3/4"Wx5"H. Made in USA.

Almost Perfect for Hanging Stockings
I ordered three of these during November of 2012. The tree, reindeer and snowman. Upon arrival I was very happy to see how heavy and sturdy the items were. I love that they are made in the USA and look beautiful on my mantel.
My only disappointment is how the base is attached to the decorative top. It appears that the base and top are glued together, not screwed together. The reindeer and snowman were okay, but the tree was loose. When I went back to exchange the tree was sold out and has not been available since the end of November. I used the tree stocking holder and it held up for this year but I am a bit weary that it will come apart in the future. I am working on a solution to make the item more sturdy so the item can provide many years of happy Holiday memories. I had to give three stars as I find this to be a major design flaw. I also noticed that others have commented on this issue as well. I hope Land's End works with the vendor on this one.

This stocking holder matches the picture in the catalog perfectly.
The weight and hook on this stocking holder was perfect. I have other LE stocking holders and the quality is equal to earlier purchases. The only wish I have would be that the LE finish match the older styles. This one had a shinier finish and the older versions had a brushed finish.

Beautiful...and made in the USA
The style and finish are great. Looking forward to using these every year - I ordered the classic frame and the penguin. Please bring these back next year...they would make great gifts!

This stocking holder matches the others we have for our family.
We have these stocking holders for all of our family members - different designs for each person. My only complaint would be that each time we have ordered a new holder, the choice of designs has decreased. I was not as excited about the designs this year.

Have bought about a dozen
I've been buying these for years. We have one for each member of our family, and for each of our pets (even the pets who, sadly, are no longer with us). If we have friends staying overnight on Christmas Eve, we buy one for them and also purchase a stocking so that they can join us in the stocking gift opening on Christmas Day.
These stocking holders are terrific. They are quite heavy, and even a loaded stocking will be quite secure hanging from them. They are very attractive on the fireplace mantle and we can still decorate with some greenery and candles if we wish.

Overall very good....
The base is heavy duty and good quality. The decorative topper is heavy duty and good quality. However, they are joined together by clear glue which is visible (reason for 4 stars, not 5). I wish they were screwed together instead of seeing the glue. Still -- for the price and quality, I'm glad I got them. Just that one thing I wish was different.

Elegant Christmas adornment!
This is a very high quality stocking holder (doubles as attractive mantel adornment). The rubber grips enable it to sit securely on the mantel and hold the stocking. The pewter finish is lovely & appears to be high quality. Highly recommend.

The stocking holders were what I had hoped for in design.
Unfortunately one of them was detached from the base, and this wasn't discovered until they were opened just before use. They were still loved by all, and I do have almost a whole year to try to repair the broken one.
