GREAT LIGHTWEIGHT NON-SNAGGING COTTON BLANKET!
This is a perfect weight pure cotton blanke, ideal for summer nights. Or pile two on for cooler nights. All I know is that I have two kitties walking across these blankets every night and no picks to mention. THAT is a successful cotton weave blanket! Yes, there is lint in the dryer lint trap. NO further lint has been noted with use. I expect to remove heavy lint after a wash or two and then things settle down with pure cotton blankets. I do not understand how this blanket is not rated a perfect blanket by everyone!
I ordered two in the ivory in the QUEEN size and they fit generously enough over a pretty darn thick mattress. They are soft and will gets TONS of use in the 55-75 degree nights here in Atlanta. I cannot recommend these enough. The kitties give a rating of five paws (instead of sail boats) because THEY don't like getting their claws caught anymore than I like them getting them caught!

Lots of lint in the dryer
I do like this blanket and my yes for recommending is tentative. I've washed this blanket 3 times and each time my dryer lint catcher is overflowing. Someday I expect to open the dryer and the blanket will have disappeared. Nice and toasty on the bed but not the usual quality I've come to expect from Land's End.

Perfect summer blanket
I purchased based on the reviews and I am very happy with the quality. The cats have snagged it a bit but otherwise its perfect, very soft and I love the tailored corners. This was purchased for an Australian double bed size but you would need to purchase a queen size if you have a european mattress as with the full size you can't tuck in the sides. Will buy queen size in future.

JUST EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED...
I expect to have this blanket for the rest of my life! It's so well made, with tight weave. It has taken a beating already, with our chihuahuas scratching on it, and it still looks like new. Anyone with dogs or children should appreciate the durability of this product. It's not a fluffy blanket, that's not what I wanted. It's made to hold in body heat, and it does it's job very well. This is rated as a "warm" blanket, and it is...but it's lightweight and comfortable, too. Generous in size, and I certainly have NOT experienced the "shedding" problem that several others have mentioned. I washed it before using it, and have washed it several times since. Just a minimum amount of lint in the dryer screen. No shedding whatsoever when its on the bed. This is a KING SIZE blanket, and it fits in our washer and dryer just fine. I have the Emerald Blue...which is a lovely color between green and blue. It looks just like the color that was on my computer screen, and it's ideal for us. I have no complaints whatsoever.

nice and soft
...but beware of pulls. I bought this blanket in a light paprika colour in king size to use as a cover for the spare bed. One of our dogs jumped up and I noticed a pull right away, so I'll have to keep them away from it. Otherwise it's beautiful and a very generous size.

Beautiful Lightweight Blanket
I recently purchased this blanket in Ivory - in light of the other reviews re: shedding. First, I washed and dried it in the drier to remove lint. A fair amount of lint came off of this tight-weaved blanket, not too much though. I did not notice an abnormal amount on the blanket either. I am now using it and love it for it's very soft and tightly-weaved texture, and also the fact that it is an all-natural, light-weight blanket. It's also very pretty. I am happy that I decided to buy this blanket!

Very pleased with purchase
I've had this blanket on my bed for several months now (under a thin quilt) and it has not shed. There was a lot of lint in the dryer for the first wash, but expected for this type product. The cream is a bit more yellow than I would like, but I'm still happy with it. I got a full size for a queen bed so that the sides would not hang lower than my quilt. It's skimpy on the sides because of this, but I prefer that over the constant tucking in to keep it from showing.

lovely blanket
I am very happy with this blanket. I threw it in the washer right out of the box, and it washed and dried beautifully. I slept very comfortably under it last night. I think this is the beginning of a long and happy relationship. :) I'd love to see it in some brighter colors -- specifically, if it were offered in bright red or Washed Red, I'd buy another one.

Beautiful blanket
This blanket is exactly what I was looking for. The organic cotton is a definite plus, and I love the tight, dense weave of the fabric. It does not "pull" like other cotton blankets I have had, which is a real advantage with our dog. I washed the blanket before I even used it and have not had a problem with excessive shedding. On warm, sunny days, I partially dry it in the dryer and then hang it outside to "flap" in the breeze. And, yes, the birds appreciate the organic cotton bits from the dryer!

I'm very happy with this blanket. It is soft and warm.
I'm very pleased with my organic blanket purchase. It is soft and warm without being overly heavy. I don't mind the dryer lint at all. Organic cotton dryer lint makes excellent nesting material for birds. I save the lint and when the birds use up the cotton in the grapevine nesting balls that I put out, I refill the nesting balls with the organic dryer lint. They love it! Thank you for providing an organic option. I look forward to seeing more organic products at Lands End.
