I love this style and fit
The color is perfect for summer. I like the platform with the small heel, I wear these all the time. They are a little bit narrow which is perfect for me. The gold buckles are lovely and easy to fasten.

Fits horribly
I'm usually a size 10, and the 10 in these fit very strangely. The ankle straps are so big, and the strap across the toes is too short. The toe strap has a buckle but is NOT adjustable! If it was looser or adjustable, these would have fit. The footbed is really hard, and somehow hurt the bottom outer sides of my feet - ??? I've never had that happen before. Also, on a strange note, for some reason the wood heels attract lint like a magnet - gross! They look nice though, so if you have narrow feet and big ankles, go for it!

Needs more design work!
I love how these look but they were terrible to wear! First, it has a buckle at the toe so you would think you could adjust them to make them narrower-but no! It's just a decoration I guess-not smart,. They were much too wide for me. They feel like you're walking on wood bricks, no cushioning at all. They also pull funny on your ankle as you walk and make it almost impossible to walk normally. Overall, these were a bust!

Loved the look, but had to return... Twice!
I purchased these sandals back in mid-August. Not a week later (after only wearing them maybe 3 times), the sole from one of the sandals separated from the wooden platform. Pretty sad when a shoe only lasts a week! Now, I thought it might be a fluke, so I had Lands End send me new ones while I returned the "defective pair" to my local Sears store. It's not even the end of September, and the sole is coming off of one of the sandals from the second pair. Clearly, it isn't a fluke! This is an awfully expensive shoe to only be getting a month's worth of use out of it!
Also, unlike the other review, I thought they were comfortable and supportive; I had absolutely no problems walking in these. This means no blisters, no pinching, and no sore feet. That's the ONLY reasonn I rated the sandals two stars instead of only one.
I really am disappointed that I will have to give up on this sandal; I had bought several new pairs of sandals over the summer and this was the only one I regularly received compliments on.

they look cheap
I really wanted to like these sandals, but everything about them looks cheap. They don't look or feel like they're made of leather, and the platform has an unfortunate plastic look about it. The buckles look like plastic too. They're going right back to Land's End.

good
I bought the dark pecan brown and a size 6. The heels look stylish yet comfortable -- they are not too high to walk. It matches many differne styles of clothing: dresses, skirt, jeans, shorts, etc. They look really cute. I got many compliments the first day I wore them. The cons are: 1. the platform is made of solid wood (with thin rubber on the bottom), so it's hard and doesn't have too much flexibility. Sometimes it's difficult to keep my balance, espeically when I walk on un-even surface such as on a brick road. 2. I am not sure if my feet are wide or the shoes run a little narrow, but the front is a bit too tight. The leather rubs against my little toes and I needed to put on bandaids for protection. Hopefully after the "break-in" period these shoes will be more comfortable.

nice shoe, overall comfortable
I usually wear a 7.5 so I ordered both 7 & 8. 7 worked fine; 8 was a bit too wide/roomy for my foot so returned the 8. Luv the heel, just perfect. Not too big but stylish. Would love to see more stylish shoes with 2.5 inch heels. I have a bad lower back so this size heel allows me to be stylish without compromising my health.
