Only works as over the knee boots
i have always wanted a pair of warm over the knee boots and finally bought these mostly because the reviews said that the calf is wide. I am small (size 2-4) but have very muscular calves and high boots have always been a problem. They managed to go over my calves but have no room for pants, just tights and maybe thin leggings. they look fine with the cuffs up, but are a total disaster with the cuffs down. I bought them on sale and am looking forward to warm feet on cold days. I live in New York City so I expect that at some point I will need to dye them a darker color long before they wear out.
I am giving them 4 stars not 4 because I could have used a little more room in the calf as space for skinny jeans.

Warm and Fun
Just got my boots ...Wow they are so comfortable .... the are a little higher than I pictured but that's ok
this is may I can't wait to wear them. I know they will be warm, they are Lands' End

even more ridiculous looking in person!
This boot looked kind of quirky to me in the picture, but in a good kind of way. I ordered it, mainly because the price was right, I live in a very cold mountain climate, and thought it might look kind of trendy. I wanted to wear it with skirts and tights, maybe jeans. Bad decision... I looked like Blackbeard the pirate. The boots are extremely flat, and tall. The flap that folds over at the top is not fitted to the leg. I felt like I was walking with leg casts. Not flattering, to say the least.
