GREAT BOOT
I am usually a size 12 in dress shoes, and these fit perfectly. They are super comfortable. I wear them regularly and love the look and feel of the boots. Excellent price too.

If only they felt as great as they looked.
These boots have a "love it or hate it" style, but I purchased the black pair and thought they looked great (actually received a couple of compliments the first time I wore them). The first time I laced them up I thought, "These aren't exactly comfortable yet...," but I generally give boots a week or so of solid wear to break them in. Well...after a few days, the interior of the heel of the right boot was hurting me badly enough that I contacted Lands' End for an exchange. They sent me a replacement pair via UPS two-day shipping, which was great. However...I found that the replacement pair also had a problem with the construction of the inside of the heel.
There's a half-inch vertical seam at the base of the heel that can be somewhat uncomfortable...and then there are a couple of horizontal seams higher up on the inside of the heel (where leather and fabric overlap) that are also painful. In other words...the inside of the boot heel isn't a continuous, smooth surface for the back of your foot...and this creates fiction with every step (even if you're wearing a thick sock). For what it's worth, the insole of the boot is also rather thin and spongy...within a week or so, I was basically walking on the hard rubber surface under the insole. I should also note that the shoelaces were starting to get a bit fuzzy from passing through the metal hooks near the top of the boot---wondering how they'd hold up with continual use/wear.
So...high marks for style and for the great Lands' End customer service. But one meager sailboat overall for the boots, since I found them to be unwearable due to inherent flaws in design/construction.
