A Classic Look for School I was looking for a new lunch bag to replace a worn out bag for school. I saw this while browsing sales on the website. I ordered one, in blue, despite a poor review. When it arrived, it was just what I wanted. The zipper would not close... but I just had to turn the seam down. Because of the stiff canvas and how the bag is probably made, you must adjust the end of the zipper so that it is straight. Once I did that, the zipper worked fine. As for the gap at the end, I believe that its effect is negligible. We aren't dealing with a cooler that's going to be in the sun for hours- it's a lunch bag. Well done; a great product! Nice size, love the adjustability, can get a big larger for taller drinks Like the style, size and quality. Just what Land's End is known for. May 28, 2013
Wish this was larger I love the Lands End totes and was excited to see an insulated lunch bag in the same classic style. Unfortunately, this bag is not large enough to serve as my lunch bag on most days. I bring my lunch and snacks to work most days and what I pack just won't fit. The insulation factor goes out the window when the bag is so stuffed it can't zip shut. I would love this if it was twice the size. This may work for a child's lunch, but it doesn't work for my big girl appetite. May 28, 2013
Smaller than I thought, but well made The dimensions listed for this lunch tote are a little decieving. The base is just 9.5" wide, by 5.5" deep. It slowly decreases in depth, and increases in width as it gets taller. At it's full height of 9.5" high, the tote is 12" wide, by 4" deep. Large frozen tv dinners fit, but not flat along the bottom the way I was expecting. It's still larger than what I had before, but it's not as big as I was hoping. The tote zips closed nicely (though I had to fight with the zipper the first time), and it's very sturdy and well-made. I would definitely recommend this to others. May 3, 2013
Keeps my lunch cold This tote does everything it should: keep my lunch cold. The only thing I do not like it the color offerings - with lunch things can get messy. Would much have preferred to have a more covering color such as blue, red, etc. Otherwise a very practical lunch tote. April 13, 2013
Impossible to zip closed! I ordered two of the lunch totes as birthday gifts. When they arrived they were unzipped and so I took them and tried to zip them shut - just to make sure the zippers worked before I wrapped them up. I could not get the zipper to even budge - on either bag. Literally, I cannot get them to move. The colors, one navy, one pink, were fine, but the zipper problem is a major flaw. Also, the zipper is a continuous loop, which even if I could get them to zip, you cannot get the bag to close completely on the top. This would allow access to warm or cold air to enter the bags, thus negating the insulating properties. These will both be returned. February 28, 2013
