Very nice.
Bought this coat for next winter in the red. Just a note... it's red and 'true navy' (not black), so order the navy snowpants to go with it. LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of the sleeves 'growing' with my son. You just can't beat the Lands End quality. (Oh... and the lining is SUPER soft!)

Great jacket but zipper broke on first wear!!
The first day of a 5 day trip to NYC, the zipper broke and I did not have another coat for my 4 year old son to wear! I was disappointed because everything else about the jacket is right on! Colour, quality and fit, my son never complained about the cold and the hand warmers were perfect for him. Sleeves are a little small especially to tuck gloves under but no issues otherwise. I had to rely on the velcro to keep the jacket close after the zipper broke but he was layered well. DOnt know if i can return the coat anymore so may have to look at getting the zipper fixed :-(.

Problem with inner lining
Bought this jacket for my grandson for Christmas and absolutely love it. However, he is constantly having a problem with the lining of the jacket. The liner sleeve is attached by a small piece of velcro that does not hold up for attaching to the jacket. Possibly if it was attached to the jacket by a button, it would stay put and not constantly come out when he pulls his arms out of the jacket. The poor quality velcro is not a good alternative and if we sew the tab holding it, then it makes it difficult to remove for washing. Surprised this wasn't thought through better for the price of this jacket.

Not waterproof
I bought these coats for my two boys 4 and 6 b/c of their stated water and windproof properties. They are not waterproof. We just returned from skiing in VT and the kids coats were soaked through at the end of the day and that is with breaks to warm up at the lodge. I am not happy and will be contacting customer service. They are fine if the weather is dry and cold.

Very Warm, and bright colors!
This is the second Squall jacket we have ordered, last year was the squall Jacket which was great but short, this year we went with the Parka and couldn't be happier with it.
The jacket in bright lime green not only looks sharp but lets us spot my nephew a mile away! He wore this as his main winter jacket and even in temps below -40 with the wind he was still plenty warm in it.
We had trouble with the zipper breaking, but called and lands end shipped up a replacement free of charge and had it here within a week (record time for my location). My niece has the girls version and loves it as well. Nothing beats the Squall outfits for our cold Canadian Winters.

Perfect!
My little boy LOVES this jacket. The first is still going, 2.5 years in and has been his winter jacket from the last year of preschool to half-way through the 1st grade. SO warm, yet lightweight. Great material, looks really good after over 2 years and MANY times in the washing machine.
I just ordered the size 7 in little boys today in preparation for next winter and will buy one for my little girl as soon as she is big enough for a Land's End jacket. This really is an excellent buy.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!
My son says it's his magic coat - so thin but so warm!!! Today, it is -34 CELCIUS with the wind(-24 without the wind) No being cold complaints at all!! Love the thumb strap, hood tightener, color, thinness, fit, the fact that it's windproof and waterproof - EVERYTHING!! This will absolutely be our go-to jacket from now on!! have the bib ski pants, which he loves too!

This jacket is GREAT!!
I ordered this jacket for my 8 year old son. I love that it has built-in hand protectors. It is very durable and warm. He loves playing in the snow and wearing it outside at school. He stays very warm. I would highly reccomend this coat.

love the color
It looks great! So happy with the color and fit.It has been difficult to find an orange coat for my son. Love the thumb holes in the liner to overlap gloves and ensure protection from the cold and snow. He will be in this coat for a couple of years and it looks like it will last.
