Run small; lots of chaffing
This review is based on a 9 year old boy who usually wears regular size Lands End clothing.
Compared to the boys board shorts from last year, we would not recommend. The first pair came and were huge. We originally ordered the next size up (Reg 10), based on a pair ordered up from last year (planning ahead for this year), and the size difference was incredible. You would have thought they were 12's not 10's. We then ordered the size he wore last year (Reg 8). Seemed to fit better, still a bit narrow, but he said he liked them. After one time out wearing them for a day at the beach and snorkeling, they chaffed him everywhere. He'll never wear them again. Chaffing was where they tie, around the waste and in other areas a boy/man really does not want/need chaffing. Needless to say, we'll be returning both pairs.

BEST Boys Bathingsuit EVER!!
I am constantly buying my boys swim suits that are too big. They are all slender and don't quite fit in the size that are "supposed" to fit. This is the ONLY bathingsuit that has the ADJUSTABLE WAIST BAND! I love it! And the colors!! I really like bright colors that you can see across the pool or water park and SEE your son. (Among all the navy blue/black suits) You definitely want to get this suit before it sells out!!

Nice swimsuit!
We bought this one for our son in bright yellow. It is a great color with very soft material. The only concern I have is instead have having heavy duty elastic, and slipping on the swimsuit it has velcro to open and close it. It does have some light elastic on the inside so you can let it in or out as needed. We needed the kind that you could slip on so we picked up a different style from Land' End (my Son likes it very much!) All in all it is a good swimsuit!
