Boys' Waterproof Squall® Gloves
Too difficult to get on
I used the measurement guide and measured my kids' hands to get the right fit - medium for both my 5 year old and 7 year old sons. They are too difficult to get on - nearly impossible for my older son - plus my older son's hands were freezing cold in them. I was fairly disappointed, because I was excited about the hand warmer pocket option and usually love Lands End. I'll try a different style and a larger size next time.

Great for skiing
No, these gloves are NOT waterproof. Resistant, yes. However, as long as I can keep my 10 year old son from digging forts instead of riding bumps, they're really great. He loves them, which is my litmus test. And, even when they DO get wet, they don't seem to soak through (at least not quickly. You have an hour or so fort building and snowball throwing) and still keep his fingers warm. I'd give 5 stars if they were truly waterproof (Please, Land's End? Active kids need them!). Another HUGE plus for me is that they are easily adjusted at the wrist and cuff, they have vent zips like really good quality adult ski gloves (In the $100 range, that is) and they really hold up to abuse. We've had our current pair (it's the third we've had since age four) for two winter seasons and they're tough. If you have multiple genders in your family, I'd caution that the girl's similar gloves have never had the same good fit and wear. For some reason, they're cut too narrow (and my daughter is a petite thing) and we always seem to have finger-fitting issues with the lining. For boys? Great.

My boys just came in after playing in the snow for just under an hour and their gloves are so wet inside and out that we could wring the water out! These are NOT WATERPROOF! We will be sending these back...don't waste your money!

These were the perfect snow gloves as advertised
The snow gloves are great for my kids. Great fit and color. Love the hand warmer zipper pouch to keep fingers extra warm.

Great Winter Gloves
I bought these gloves for my 6 year old. From the moment he put them on, he loved them. With the adjustable wrist strap, the gloves are VERY easy to get on. My older son saw them, and asked for a pair also. Both boys are thrilled with the purchases. They've told me that the gloves are very warm and great for playing outside in the snow. (We live in the Buffalo, NY area so warmth is important to me.) I'm happy that they can get these gloves on all by themselves.

Warm and dry!!
I bought these gloves for my sons and they both love them. The lining is soft and the shell is truly water-repellent. These matched their squall parkas perfectly.

Perfect fit and matches the parka perfectly
I used the measuring guidelines to determine the proper size. The gloves fit perfectly. Highly recommended.

small and not waterproof
I have always gotten my boys squall gloves to go with their jackets. This year was I excited about the waterproof gloves and was happy with the waterproof squall jacket. We finally got the 1st snow and the boys got to play. They were out for under an hour and came in with gloves so wet you could wring them out. The gloves also run small in size and the strap to tighten them around your wrist has to come all the way out to put the glove on. Way to hard for the kids to do by themselves. You know that they don't work when the kids want to take a scissors and cut the strap off. I will be returning the gloves this year. Very disappointed this year.

Did something change?
The fit is great, the quality as always is great. However, my son says that his hands were freezing when he went outside for recess at school (30 minutes). I bought these for my daughter last year and she loves them and she is outside for hours at a time. A little disappointed that his hands got cold. I returned them.
