nice print, poor design
Shorts are big for my 11 year old. They're also very long, going past his knees. I would return them but he loves the print. I don't like the velcro fly and would prefer a real drawstring like another pair we bought.

brilliant
brilliant hidden adjustable waist. Allows my tall skinny son to finnaly have a pair of swim trunks that sits below his knees! I ordered a larger second pair for next year.

sizing seems off
My son wears husky sizes. We ordered 18-20 & they were huge. We returned them for the 14-16 and those are way too small. We will be sending them back. He is disappointed.

Cool shorts, but a bit long
My 7 year old thinks these board shorts are awesome. The fit is good. Quality is typical of LE swimwear which is good. The shorts are cut really long though, almost to his knees. He doesn't seem to be bothered by this, but I thought it was important to note.

Love them
my son picked these out himself and loves them. these are our 5th pair of lands end board shorts and he loves how they fit. he is a slim 10 year old.

The adjustable waist is a bad idea
I ordered the medium "slim" size for my 9 year old son, who is tall and thin. The trunks were huge in the waist and WAY too long. I thought the adjustable waistband was awful. There are buttons and elastic inside the waistband, and when tightened up the suit gets all puckered in the waist. It doesn't look good at all, and then there is extra elastic just hanging inside the wast of the suit. I wasn't crazy about the velcro fly either, and you would have to re-lace it each time. My son chose the suit because of the attractive print and colors. Unfortunately it is getting returned today.

really cute, don't fit
These are super cool, but unfortunately are too big in the waist and too long. Also the fly is a real velcro fly, with no mesh liner covering it. It seems like it would be a pain getting on & relacing every time. Also my son thinks the fly would be uncomfortable. He likes the mesh liner all around! At 52" and 62lbs, he should fit right into a size 8 regular, but they are huge in the waist and really long .. . . .like to mid-shin.

Perfect bathing suit for slim boys
This bathing suit is perfect because it has an inside adjustable waist! My son is very thin but tall and I can never find him a bathing suit that fits. This suit is perfect if you are looking for length but need a smaller waist. I just wish it came in more patterns/colors besides the one.
