Good quality and great value shorts
When summer started, I bought my 11 year old son a pair of ripstop cargo shorts from a different "mall store" and they ripped after a couple of wears. Well, he needed shorts and we love LandsEnd so I gave the shorts a try. They are great. The material is durable and the shorts have worn very well with my active son, which is what I expect when I purchase from LandsEnd.

Best shorts for boys
These shorts are tough and look great. They fit my son (average build) perfectly to his size. The colour is neutral--matches everything. He wears them as soon as they are clean from the laundry. I am guessing that they will still look fabulous when he passes them on to another boy. Excellent value in a boys short.

Durable, Well made, Attractive
Purchased in 12 Slim for my 11 year old son. I needed navy shorts for a camp, Interlochen,and belt loops were required. These shorts fit the bill, without being "uniform" shorts, which he wouldn't want to wear. I can't get over how tough and durable the material is, and how well made they are. They are cut long, so he'll be able to wear them through growth spurts, and even though we're in Michigan, he wears shorts nearly year round (schools are heated a lot). Since I will get a lot of use out of these, and he's very rough on clothes, they're well worth the price. I'm thrilled they're in Slim, because otherwise it would be hard to fit him. He's not that skinny, but the regular sizes are always too wide. Lands End: PLease continue to make this short in slim. They're a winner.

Where are the Little Boys' slims?
These shorts are great but they only come in slim sizes for older boys. We always purchase the slim in pants and shorts for my 7 year-old. Unfortunately, we will have to take these back. I noticed that this year LE has cut back drastically on its slim offerings for Little Boys. It's such a shame...we will have to go elsewhere. Bring back the slim sizes, please!
