Boys' Reversible Belt 3 5 1 1
Screws in swivel part of buckle tends to tear at faux leather I love the idea of two belts in one, and my 5-yr-old son loves this belt. We bought it in Sept. of 2011, he wears it mainly just to church on Sundays, and it finally COMPLETELY fell apart in Feb. of 2013. The two tiny screws tear at the leather over time, causing the screws to loosen and let go, or tear all the way through the leather, making the belt un-usable. I have had to repair it three times on my own, being able to fit the leather back into the buckle, tighten the screws and keep it going, but it finally did tear all the way through. The reasons I'm recommending this product are because Lands' End will replace it if this happens, and because the belt has come in handy since we can reverse the color to match shoes, etc., AND it does look quite nice and is easy for my son to handle on his own. I just hope the replacement holds up better than the first one. Now that I know about this I can perhaps teach my son not to pull on the leather when swiveling, but to hold only the buckle so the leather will last longer. April 9, 2013
