Great pants!
Great school pants for my active 8 year old. Fit is great, fabric is quality - I bought three pairs and plan to replace them with more as he continues to grow.

definitely NOT made to last
I have purchased these uniform pants for the past few years. This year they are the poorest quality to date. Despite the "iron Knees" the knees wear out faster than any other part of the fabric. At $30 per pair, they are NOT worth the money. I am sorely disappointed in the quality. It is lacking. One pair didn't even last 3 wash/wear cycles without showing significant wear in the knees. Land's end quality control on this item is missing. That is unfortunate for the customers.

Poor quality
I have bought these pants in navy blue in the past for my son and have been very satisfied with them. Like some of the other reviewers, last year I bought my usual supply of them for his uniform and they were terrible. They faded right away. The "iron knees" were anything but iron. The fabric on the knees wore away and looked terrible within 6 months and my son isn't even that hard on his clothes. They would be in shreds if he were a rough boy. I will not buy these again and am recommending to the parents in my school to avoid them. The similar type Cherokee pants from Target are a lot less expensive and hold up infinitely better! I am shocked that they earned a Good Housekeeping seal!

Love these pants.
My son has to wear them everyday as part of his uniform for school. I love how the pants wash up and they don't fade. I love the Iron knee because my son is very hard on his clothes and these really keep up with him. Love that they stay wrinkle free.

Great pants, awful color
Good fit, durable fabric but the most washed out shade of classic navy you can imagine. Looked old before I even washed it once. I bought 7 pairs and I'm considering returning most of them if I can find something better from a different retailer.

Not tough as iron :(
We've been LE customers for several years because they are the official supplier to our school. We've always been very happy with the quality and fit for our 5th grader, but you have met your match for our kindergartner.
He's normally not a pants killer, but we were still excited about the iron knee feature because he is "all boy."
We are disappointed in that he has managed to rip through both the fabric and iron knee patch of all his school pants within two months. We wouldn't mind so much if this happened in his brother's hand me downs or even if they lasted until shorts season, but $120 of new school pants before winter was over! Yikes.
Fit, washability and comfort are all great though. If they fit in summer, they'll make a great pair of shorts!

The color is off.
I have purchased this item in the past and have been very please. This time around, however, the "Classic Navy" was very faded looking. I am not sure if it was a bad die lot, but it was several shades lighter than an identical pair that my son has been wearing (and I have been washing and drying) reglularly all school year. I was very disappointed this time around.

Chino Pants
I bought 2 of these pants. They seem to be good quality especially what I like is if water or liquids happen to spill on them it will bubble up like roll off instead of soaking into the pants. Wash up nice. I hang dry them then touch up as needed. I highly recommend these pants...

Perfect Pants!
We love these pants. They stand up to the rough and tumble of boys' everyday lives in school and at home and we especially love the adjustable waistband
