Boys' Northwest Passage Waterproof Down Parka 4.4 5 26 26
Nice winter jacket Good quality, I like it, true to size. May 6, 2013
Good deal We have been buying these coats for the past four years. The boys find them warm (even in our freezing temps) and I find them easy to wash. Great price! April 28, 2013
Super warm parka This is a pricey coat but it was dramatically reduced so I bought 2 in red for both my son and daughter. The fur you can take off. My daughter really likes the wolf patch on the sleeve! This will keep my kids warm during the long Chicago winters. My kids spend a lot of time outside during winter and their previous coats were not waterproof or warm enough so they ended up getting soaked and cold. I also like the grow along sleeves so I should get more wear out of them. I also like that it is a down coat. April 14, 2013
Warm and cozy We bought the previous versions of this coat for both my son & daughter. The grow-a-long helped the jacket last 2 seasons before we needed the next size despite massive growth spurts. This newest model is just as warm and comfortable as past versions. My son especially likes the new fuzzy lining in the hood. April 13, 2013
LOVE IT!! I bought this Parka for my 9 year old son mid-winter and every time he wears it, we both say how awesome it is. The snow guard wrist cuffs are perfect and I love the grow along sleeves - GENIUS!! I absolutely recommend this product. Lands End always makes quality clothing. March 8, 2013
Great coat! Our first Land's End coat (thank you, Grandma!), and I suspect it is the first of many! Very well constructed and WARM. Not bulky, considering its rating. It had its first real test with night skiing, and my son raved about how warm and dry he was. He loved the snow guard wrist cuffs, and also commented on how the sleeves kept his arms warm. I thought for sure he'd want to remove the fur trim, but he really likes it. Couldn't be happier! January 31, 2013
Nice coat We really like this coat. We purchased the passage in the deck grey which is a really attractive color. My son loves the easy pull up blue zipper. He still has to wear a zip up sweater under it in the really cold weather but its what we do with every winter coat he had. Maybe its just the mommy thing. I also agree it would have been great to have the sherpa fur lining go through the sleeves as well but my son hasnt complained about being cold. Removable fur is a great feature. My son is 6 so we got the 7 but in length its just right. Its a wait and see if it will last another winter. If i had returned it for a size larger i beleive the back porttion of the coat would hav gone below the knee making it look to big for him. Overall we feel satisfied and will purchase our next winter coat from Lands End again. Oh yeah & i love love the guaranteed period policy. Awsome January 27, 2013
The best! This coat is very good for midwest winters. We got the red for my 4.5 year old and it is a great color. I ordered the M (5-6) and it is big but I'll keep it since he grows so fast. He loves to play outside and this keeps him warm. Highly recommend! January 6, 2013
Great jacket, but zipper didn't work! How hard is it to make a zipper that works, Lands End?!?!? Over the years I have returned many a jacket because the zippers malfunction after a half a season or so, but this dandy arrived and the zipper didn't work from the get-go! Jacket itself is substantial, fashionable and surely warm enough to beat any Maine winter ... if it zipped! LL Bean, anyone? January 2, 2013
Overall ok, would not buy again. This jacket looks nice. We ordered it as the closest exchange for my son's 4-in-1 parka from last year that had a broken zipper. It is warm and he can spend hours (literally) outside in 18" of snow with no cold issues. The color is sharp (red) and the styling is nice. However, there are too many things my son and I don't like. The least is the silly patch on the sleeve. It serves no purpose and collects snow, as do the elbow patches. What bothers my son the most is the narrow sleeves. If he wears a long sleeve shirt with the parka he has great difficulty pulling the snow guard cuffs out and getthing his gloves on and tucked in under the adjustable parka cuff. He is 10yrs old and needs help with this....after screaming about it! Once everything is in place, the arms are too tight for comfort. He really likes the appearance of the fur around the hood. It does look nice. I just wish that LE could come up with a better material for the fur...one that doesn't require removing it before the dryer. Trying to make kids independant and have them toss their winter gear in the dryer when they come in doesn't work when you tag on ...DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE THE FUR!" It is already melted on one side. We got this parka large enough to make it through a growth spurt and get 2 yrs out of it, however, I don't think it will make it. I'll purchase something different for him next year. January 1, 2013
