Our children do not like the fabric.
Our children have school uniforms, and this year these shorts replaced cotton shorts on PE day. Both our children really dislike this new fabric. They find it snags easily, and is hot.

Very comfortable.
My son needed new shorts for his gymnastics practice. These shorts are great. Comfortable, breathable. When he does his handstand the legs do not come down, like other shorts. I measured his waist and use the size chart in the web page. The fit is right.

Great Summer Athletic Short
In contrast to another reviewer, these are EXACTLY what my son and I were expecting. A "mesh" short is designed to be breathable, and are ideal for children who participate in running or other summer athletic sports. In our case, the initial pair ordered was in Cobalt Blue - extremely vibrant, and not see through in the slightest. Only issue, and one addressed by other reviewers: My 6 year old currently wears a LE Large (Size 7) in pants/shorts. We sized down to Medium (5/6) and these fit perfectly.

The fabric is like tissue paper?
we ordered these in navy and they were so sheer you could see my sons white underwear through the shorts. They also run very large.

Great, comfortable shorts
We live on an island and my boys love these shorts. Even though they wear them year-round, they have held up very well. I love the color selection, as well. My boys are very slim, so I don't know if it is my boys or the shorts, but they do fit them big.

Land's End Quality!
My 8 year old son loves these shorts! They are lightweight. Drapes well, just as mentioned in the description. Also, the quality is evident in the nice drawstring. Would buy again in another color!

Great sport & everyday shorts
My teen wears these shorts to running practice and just for everyday wear. Nothing bad to say: they wash well, are comfortable, hit his knee the way he likes, and are comfortable. A great pair of shorts at a great price.

good weight, good length, internal drawstring a plus
My son is quite small for his age, so I ordered a size down which ended up being perfect for him. As he is thin, having an internal drawstring helps the shorts stay on, but the elastic is strong enough that they would probably fit even without the drawstring. The length is good for soccer--skimming the top of the kneecap. They are a comfortable weight for summer sports--not too thick and heavy but also substantial enough to not tear as he slides around.

Great light weight shorts!
My son -- a very picky person when it comes to clothes -- loved these shorts immediately! They are light weight, but they will be great in the summer. It is also nice that you can adjust the waist with the draw string.
