Great Fit
These pants fit very well and are so comfortable according to my son. We searched all over for a great fitting husky short and these are perfect. I purchased 6 pairs.

we have these in nearly every color,my son is skinny so I got the slims and they are perfect,wash well,hold up to rough play yet can still look presentable with a colored polo

Great short for the tall, skinny, active boy
Perfect short that works in khaki as a school uniform but is long enough for lots of growing. I love the comfy waistband. Good job lands end!!

Wish these came in slim!
I bought 3 pairs of these for my 11 yo son and the size 10-12 (which is the size he has taken for several years in other shorts and sweat pants) pulled right off his hips. He is very skinny, so if they came in a slim I'll bet we would have kept them all. Nice colors, construction looked good, and he liked the idea of the stretchy waistband but other fabric in the shorts themselves. He didn't like the fabric, though, either -- too "crunchy." Better luck next time!

Shorts made to last!
These shorts are well made, strong, and the color is beautiful. My son loves them. The fit is a bit on the roomy side.

Best shorts for the summer
my son only wears stretch waist band pants/shorts, and these are perfect. The fabric is light enough but sturdy and sizing is right on.

Too long
I really wanted these shorts to fit because they are cute, but they were just too long. I have a tall 8-year-old (53.5") and they looked like clamdiggers on him, a bit silly. Long shorts are popular right now (which he likes!), but the length on these was too long. I'm sorry that I have to return them.

Fits way too small
Something is wrong with the sizing on these shorts. They are way smaller than other Lands End shorts of the same size. The item dimensions listed are also wrong. They are several inches smaller than listed.
Please bring back your old shorts with an elastic waist (no belt loops, no back pocket flaps).

What is with the sizing on these?
Ordered these in my son's normal size (size 8) and they were not your typical size 8. They look like they were "slims". Too tight in the waist, rear, everywhere. I went to go exchange for one size up- and it jumps all the way up to a 10/12. That's crazy. How is there no size in between that? That's a big difference and the 10/12 would be way too big. Am really disappointed since I always order basic shorts from Lands End for summer. Haven't had a problem with sizing like this in the past. So now I have a bunch of Lands End t-shirts with no matching shorts.

Too Big!
All of my son's Lands' End size M (10-12) were getting too small. Pants were just a tad too short and the inseam was riding up his bottom. So I ordered the next size L (14-16). As soon as I opened them up I could tell they were going to be too big, they looked as big as my pants! Yup, they are way too big! So, since this is a new style, does it run large? Do I risk ordering him the size in the brand he has seemed to grow out of or try the mediums? Or is he just in some weird inbetween place?
