Boys' Boat Shorts 3.1 5 26 26
Too long I really wanted these shorts to fit because they are cute, but they were just too long. I have a tall 8-year-old (53.5") and they looked like clamdiggers on him, a bit silly. Long shorts are popular right now (which he likes!), but the length on these was too long. I'm sorry that I have to return them. May 6, 2013
Fits way too small Something is wrong with the sizing on these shorts. They are way smaller than other Lands End shorts of the same size. The item dimensions listed are also wrong. They are several inches smaller than listed. Please bring back your old shorts with an elastic waist (no belt loops, no back pocket flaps). May 5, 2013
What is with the sizing on these? Ordered these in my son's normal size (size 8) and they were not your typical size 8. They look like they were "slims". Too tight in the waist, rear, everywhere. I went to go exchange for one size up- and it jumps all the way up to a 10/12. That's crazy. How is there no size in between that? That's a big difference and the 10/12 would be way too big. Am really disappointed since I always order basic shorts from Lands End for summer. Haven't had a problem with sizing like this in the past. So now I have a bunch of Lands End t-shirts with no matching shorts. May 2, 2013
Too Big! All of my son's Lands' End size M (10-12) were getting too small. Pants were just a tad too short and the inseam was riding up his bottom. So I ordered the next size L (14-16). As soon as I opened them up I could tell they were going to be too big, they looked as big as my pants! Yup, they are way too big! So, since this is a new style, does it run large? Do I risk ordering him the size in the brand he has seemed to grow out of or try the mediums? Or is he just in some weird inbetween place? May 2, 2013
Husky XL? Very disappointed that they would not carry the full line of husky sizes. Would like to see husky XL included. My son loves these, they are very comfortable. April 30, 2013
Good basic play shorts The fit was as expected and the fabric is comfortable for an active boy. April 28, 2013
Great pair of shorts! Very happy with these shorts - my son is a 14H and there is plenty of room in the rear end/thighs without being overly long. And the knit waistband is a plus, smoother fit in the waist without having to cinch in adjustable straps. April 27, 2013
Need more slim fit options My teenage son is very thin, and I appreciate the many slim fit options from Lands End. This is especially important for the length of boys' shorts, since men's shorts aren't usually as long. Unfortunately the regular XL was too wide around the waist. I returned them and am hoping that the reordered L size will be long enough. April 27, 2013
Missing XL Husky size I have to weigh in with several reviewers who were looking for XL Husky size. I too have been buying your clothing for years for my special needs son of 15. What we like about a lot of the kids clothes are they are comfortable, easy to put on, yet youthful but this regular XL is just a little too narrow across behind and short waisted. It's too bad because the fabric is soft but durable and the knit waistband looks so comfy. Please consider making men's sized clothing styles like this for your many special needs customers! April 24, 2013
Too long Was happy to see an elastic waist short in fun colors. Ordered an 8 husky for my guy, but was too long. The inseam measured 10 inches! They hang below his knees and look silly. Since I won't pay extra money to have them hemmed, I can't keep them. Its a shame because the material, color and waistband are all awesome. April 23, 2013
