Fit & Size Information

Boys' Alpine Trekker Boots 5 5 1 1
Great winter shoes without being a bulky boot My 8 year old son has only worn these shoes everyday since the day they arrived. He is VERY particular about the fit and feel of shoes ( to the point that we only bought Keen and Tevas for the last 3 years- steep prices for both even on sale) and he loves these boots. I ordered them mostly based on the fact that he will not wear winter or rain boots to school and needed the extra warmth on the playground for the winter. They run a bit wide but we just tighten the laces and his feet are a touch narrow anyway. The brilliant thing about these shoes is the functionality of having a warm fuzzy lining and the sole having the flexibility and traction of a sneaker. So, they are both warm ( water resistant but not waterproof which is still a major bonus), comfortable, and flexible. They give some benefits of an ankle height ( high top) level boot without the stiffness and bulk of a mid calf rain or Bogs- type of boot. I also loved the retro seventies color and design of these. It's also a nice change from the usual grays and blacks of many winter boots and he doesn't look so dark from head to toe. I can't stand the busy, neon, over decorated tennis shoes of today- so repulsive!! I am ordering a size up for next year incase they don't bring them back. Please, LE, make these a staple in your catalog. Also, for the price it feels like a steal ( even for kids shoes)! January 18, 2013
