Description

  • Woven from strong Appalachian White Ash
  • Durable brass hardware
  • Rides in the included bike attachment
  • 14 1/4"Wx9"Dx6 3/4"H

The Peterboro Basket Company has been making baskets since 1854. They select White Ash from locations in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont, then process the trees through every step from lumber to basket right on site in Peterborough, NH. Many employees have decades of experience in their craft, and they know exactly how to create a basket that is beautiful, durable and exceptionally useful. Ours is sized to carry everything you’ll need for a picnic, but it lets you carry things back and forth on your Lands’ End® Schwinn Bike — and leave the car at home.

Bike Picnic Basket 4 5 2 2
Perfect for the Kate Cruiser Very easy to mount and looks adorable on the Kate Cruiser. The basket seems well made, but is definitely prettier than it is functional. The lid doesn't secure closed so it rattles a bit when riding. And, the wood finish doesn't seem very durable so I wouldn't expose it to any of the elements. And lastly, I wouldn't load anything too heavy in there. I had it filled with cans and jars from the grocery store and the side that mounts to the handlebars bent under the pressure whenever I hit a bump. It recovered just fine and still looks great, but in the future, I'll put the heavy items on the back rack. September 2, 2012
It is cute Easy to mount. I do not have the Lands End bike. Quality is good. When riding the lid does rattle a bit and even blew open on a windy day. Flipping a handle up helps but it still makes noise. It is a keeper for me. I love the look and the storage. Might have to find a better way to secure the lid. June 8, 2012
