Poor Quality
I was so excited about this purchaseas we live by the seaside and are always at the beach. This towel is not nearly the quality we are use to with and expect with Lands End. We only used this beach blanket one time, and it got a bad snag in the fabric. Very disappointed beach goer-

Excellent Quality
I gave this to a friend and we used it at the beach. The quality of the towel is excellent and the colors are beautiful. Two suggestions that would make it even better: 1) Add some sort of pouch for the stakes. They come in a little cardboard box that will never last with things getting wet. It didn't seem like a good idea to put them in the towel bag because they might poke through. 2) Include instructions for the best way to fold/roll the towel to get it in the bag. We tried several ways and were still not sure we had it in the best way.

Disappointed
Although the beach blanket is large and thick... The backside is heathered green. Solid. I expected the designer rugby stripe to be on both sides of the towel. As a result, it looks cheap.

Thoroughly worthwhile investment
We are frequent beachgoers and this was a fantastic purchase. It's big and thick and soft but folds up nicely into its 'pocket.' No loose loops to date, zero quibbles on quality -- any thicker would have made for too much to carry; as is it hit just the right spot for portability and comfort. Kudos to the previous reviewer who gives it as a gift; it would certainly be a nice thing for any beach-oriented, or even picnic-oriented, sort of person to receive.

Great gift idea!
I have ordered 7 of these beach blankets for wedding shower gifts over the years and they are perfect. Great quality and size. Personalizing the towel with the bride's married name adds that special touch. Add the large zip tote and you have a perfect wedding combo.
