Subtle, comforting warmth
No the typical electric blanket here. The warmth seems to radiate from the blanket itself, not from the wires, which are almost imperceptible. The red color is pretty and makes you think of warmth. The blanket does not become really hot as did the blankets I remember from my youth, rather the warmth is subtle and radiating. My son really likes this blanket because there is no heat outlet in his attic bedroom. Great blanket!

The blanket is great
Quality is good and you cannot even feel the wires, which makes it very soft and pliable.

Comfy and warm
I bought this for my 85 yr young Mom for Christmas. When she is feeling chilly while watching TV in the evening she covers up with this throw, sets the control and the chill vanishes. It is very soft and you can hardly feel the wires - very comfortable indeed.

IT SOLVED THE ONE MORE BLANKET WAR. HE JUST LOVES IT AND IT'S ONLY ON HIS SIDE OF THE BED. SO i STAY COOL AND HE IS WARM. GREAT PRODUCT

Excellent Product!
I purchased this throw for my 90 year old Father-in-Law who is always cold. He has been much more comfortable since he began using it, as he can personalize his warmth by adjusting the temperature on the dial. He is so happy with this product and as a result, so are we. Two thumbs way up!

quite warm, good size, reliable
I ordered my first H eat Comfort throw more than a year ago and have been extremely happy with it. It has kept me warm for a year and it is just the right size for me. I use it on my bed to sleep and wrap up with it on cold afternoons. I did give this a 5 star rating even though my new throw is red and red fuzz is coming off on my pajamas and sheets, which are flannel. However I did not have that problem with my green throw that continues to work very well. I am extremely cold natured and can set the throw temperature on low settings and be very very comfortable all night long. I cover it with a light blanket and that keeps the heat in. The throws are soft and lightweight, the wires nearly undetectable. It shuts off automatically after 10 hours. Other reviews complain about the power box and setting box locations, but I have used the throws on both sides of my bed and cannot understand what the problem is with positioning them, as the cord is quite long. I have really enjoyed my first throw and may exchange my new red one for a light color if I cannot resolve the fuzz problem, & Lands' End customer service said I can exchange it if I need too, even though it has been used and is otherwise working quite well. My only real issue with the throw is that my cats have discovered how warm it is and if I don't let them sleep with me, they scratch on the bedroom door until I let them in.

We bought the throw for my 102 year old Mom who is always cold. She sleeps better at night and it keeps her warm.
The throw keeps My 102 year old Mother warm through the night. She has had problems staying warm and the throw is a perfect size for her single size bed. It works better than having to turn on an electric heater.

Wonderful warming throw!
My Dad needed a warming throw for dialysis- and most throws are too short. When I saw this was 6+ inches longer than most I decided to give it a try- the extra length is terrific! The blanket heats up quickly- you can't feel the wires- and the controls are easy to use. No problem if someone has dexterity issues. I'm so happy (10 stars please!) with this purchase, I might get myself one as well!

Love this blanket!
I've owned several electric blankets and really hate to be without one on those cold nights. Since I use them the most on the couch, I purchased the throw. This is the only blanket I've had where you can't feel the wires. It's very soft to the touch and warms up nicely. My previous electric only lasted a few months before it quit working. I spent quite a bit more on this one and hope I get a few winters out of it. So far, I definitely like it much better than the Sunbeam. If this blanket lasts a few years, I'd give it ten stars! It's a keeper!

Not as good as the previous model.
Purchased a previous version of this product about 3 years ago. It finally quit working and I decided to get another one since I like it so much. The new version has lighter weight material and has the strange quality of making a crinkling noise as if it was stuffed with tissue paper. It also kind of smelled like electrical smoke at times. I returned it and wont buy another of their brand.
