Adult Beach Chair 1.1 5 7 7
Poor Quality! Poor quality. Straps come undone when carrying it on your back. I fear the rope will come undone when I am sitting in it. May 20, 2013
Flimsy and broke the first time I used it! I bought the chair to take to the beach, but it broke the first time I tried to use it in the sand. All of the hinges and joints are plastic, which are not strong enough to hold the chair. My movement in the chair in the unstable sand caused the plastic parts to warp and both arms came loose, throwing me backward into the sand. I thought I was getting a better product than the cheap chair I bought at the beach grocery store, but I thought wrong. I will be returning this pitiful product. May 20, 2013
Disappointed We purchased 3 of these and ended up returning them. They were cheaply made, hard to fold and unfold, the backpack straps were on backwards - on the inside where the legs fold, making a very uncomfortable backpack with the legs going into your back. Also, it doesn't contain an actual "backpack" or storage area. Beware as these are an item that they do not take back at the local Sears store and with shipping, they were expensive to return. Read the rest of the 1 star reviews as they are very accurate and do not make the same mistake I made by purchasing these chairs. May 19, 2013
Never made it to the beach This chair was poor quality and not at all what I would expect from Lands End. I bought these with a coupon thinking I was getting a great deal, but I've returned them already. Fabric seemed cheap, chair not comfortable, lower to the ground than appears in the picture. Don't waste your time and money. I ordered 3 of the adult beach chairs. They all had problems with them. To begin with, they were poorly made and flimsy. The armrests were thin and on 2 of the chairs, the armrests were damaged. The back pack straps were on backwards, and I was unable to get 2 of the chairs to recline in any position. Lands End, shame on you! These chairs were a joke. Don't waste your time and money on these.....tomorrow I'm going to the local Target store and see what they have. May 11, 2013
Cheaply made What a disappointment! The first thing I noticed was how the straps were frayed straight out of the box. The second thing I noticed was how stiff and nasty the chair's fabric was. Then I noticed how the plastic of the arms was so thin it bent with almost no pressure. I sat in the chair to try it out, and it's uncomfortable, the seat bottomed out while one of the metal bars cut across my thighs. It's just cheap, I doubt it would last through the summer. And when I tried to fold it back up, I noticed that the buckle of the strap that supposedly holds the chair closed so it can be carried like a backpack doesn't work, the strap slid right through no matter what I did to it. We've had beach chairs from two of your competitors for years, and I was hoping these chairs would be similar in quality. But these chairs are far inferior. The next day I went to a national discount chain and found a chair that was almost identical, except it was better made! (Thicker plastic on the armrests, for one thing.) And its full price was significantly cheaper. Lands End, you need to up your game, or you are going to be out of the race. May 8, 2013
I miss the old chair :( I received my new chair the other day. I bought the same one in navy blue in 2011, what an awesome chair. It's built tough, has a backpack to put things in, drink holder and also straps to carry it like a backpack. ANYWAY...the new one came, same company and everything, and the craftsmanship on this chair is garbage. Some seams are double-stitched and messy, strings are coming out from different sides, there is no backpack to store items in (although there is a nice little cell phone pocket that is new), the backpack straps were sewn on backwards, the clips are all backwards. I don't know what happened. Maybe the company could not handle the influx of all the people who wanted the original chair and they slacked off to meet demand. May 4, 2013
