Quality built chair
We just recieved the chairs and tables that we ordered from you. first of all the shipping was very quick, less than a week for the standard shipping. The furniture came well packaged and was in perfect condition. The assembly instructions were quite clear and easy to follow. The first chair took about 20-25 minutes to assemble as we were learning the system, the last three took about 15 minutes each.
The fit and finish of the furniture is excellent, the color and the coverage of the pint used is very good. Since all the parts are put together with either lag bolts or wood screws I expect to get a long service life. Great product Lands End!!!

Well made
Just added a new walkway to our front yard with space for two chairs. These are comfy, good looking and will stand up to the weather.

not for outdoor use
We bought a set of 4 chairs and a side table no more than 5 years ago. There may be a new manufacturer now, but ours are out of maple as well. Anyway, we bought these chairs for outdoor use, I saw nothing telling me otherwise. They are so rotted I have to throw them away. Beautiful when new, easy to put together, but unless you keep the rain off them, expect 4 years of life, max, at least in coastal Virginia's climate. One literally fell apart as I sat in it, and another did last night, the wood had disintegrated, so not safe anymore. Great chair indoors, outdoors, not for long.

Wonderful design and and execution of an all american product.
As an interior designer I am always looking for great products, not just for clients, but for my own use. This chair gives me style and function. It is beautifully crafted and well thought out. I do wish you would add more Sherwin Williams colors or, better yet, make it completely custom by offering any Sherwin Williams color. A wonderful shopping experience! Thank you and please thank the craftsmen who manufacture this great item.

Nice chairs but a pain to assemble
So, we read all the instructions first as suggested and were able to follow them easily. The bolts however did not have a screwdriver slot in them so there was no way to keep them from revolving while tightening the nuts. We tried hammering the carriage bolts into the wood as suggested, but it didn't work. In the end we went to Ace hardware and bought 12 new machine bolts with slotted tops, washers, and nuts. For two chairs, that cost us an extra $25.00. And it worked. And the chairs are very comfortable and a lovely red.

These are not chairs, they are a welcome LIFESTYLE CHANGE......
My 13 yr. old daughter finished building two of these chairs as a replacement for 60 yr old adirondacks (from a fancy garden shop) we could no longer refurbish. They are not chairs, they are a lifestyle. Since building them, we've been sitting by the pool, eating small meals, reading piles of books that fit on the arms and TALKING (remember, she is 13). They are like lounges, but don't take up lots of space. Chairs arrived quickly but one box was missing only the nuts and washers and also had a seat slat that popped off. Considering the condition of the UPS delivery box, that was amazing. I know Land's End would have replaced the minimal hardware, but the 13 yr. old couldn't wait to build them-so off we went to local ACE place. The slat was easily screwed on with larger screws and chairs went together quickly and precisely. They are comfortable, pretty, STURDY. I will bring them onto the covered patio when (and if) it rains in So.CA. After looking at other flimsy chairs, these seem a bargain and worth the money- will purchase two more in another color. Yes, I would prefer the teak chairs for all weather durability, but budgeting won't allow. Also, since directions reveal the paint color, we painted other wood patio furnishings the same green! Looks like a model home now!

Customer service is great but chair needed help
I purchased two chairs. Both arrived witha bottom slat missing on the seat. One chair wobbled after assembly. Lands End is sending a replacement bottom for that one. For the other, rather than asking for a new bottom, I purchased two longer screws. The slats that fell of used short screws and no glue. Assembl was easy. More attention should be paid to quality control. Longer screws and glue should be used for the last slats on the bottom.

Classic
This is a classic Adirondack/Muskoka chair.
It is solid and comfortable.
The assembly instruction diagrams could learn from Ikea (I never thought I would say that).

Poor quality
It was too much trouble to try and return it so we had to use " gorilla glue" on 2 of the slats
Very disappointed...usually LandsEnd products are great

Perfect chair!
We just received two of these and love them. We got the red one and the color is really great. Quality is good. We also, though,we're missing some hardware on one of them. We called Landend and they insisted on sending us the parts as fast as possible even though we could have probably got the missing pieces at lowes. Great customer service, as always. I would definitely recommend these. I did look at several, locally and online, and these are clearly good quality. In response to another comment regarding size, I'm a bit more than an average size, and the width of the chair was generous.
