Men's Narrow Silk Knit Necktie
I was very happy with the quality of the material and craftsmanship. Land's End website paired the tie with a Land's End plaid shirt. I copied the look and I get a lot of complements. I also wear with a sport coat. The look is dressy but still casual. The silk weaved tie drapes perfectly and the color can be paired with many shirt / jacket/ combinations.

I have other knit silk ties that cost more and are softer but their real superiority is the length and thickness of the under-collar lining. If you loosen the tie and wear it with the top shirt button undone as I like to do, you expose the section that isn't knit, that's lined. Please, Land's End, shorten the under-collar part of the tie.

Great Quality Tie
Love this tie. Great Quality and 2.75 inches is perfect width for it. I just wish they would offer it in Brown and I would buy another! So if anyone is listening, please make a Brown Silk Knit!

These ties used to be much better made.
I own many of these Italian made knitted silk ties. The solid colours co-ordinate very well with the many striped shirts I own. Those I have bought in the past from Lands' End were well made with precise finishing. However, my recent purchase of one in Aubergine Plum was a disappointment; it was badly finished. The manufacturer should be instructed to pay more attention to quality control.

Fantastic tie. My husband got many complements. So, we sent one to our son!
The tie is exactly what we expected. So pleased

I really like the narrower style in the silk knit tie. It knots better and has a neater look. The particular color I ordered was one or two shades brighter than depicted in the catalog, but still within the acceptable range. LE's ties have remained a consistent high value and quality product over the years. One caveat; these ties are longer than normal...think twice about ordering the T size.

Size & Quality Matters
I just got my french navy tie in the mail today and I am very pleased. I have to say that the width of the tie is larger than any other silk knit tie I have seen or own. But that is fine with me because I am not wedded to a thin tie. As a big athletic man, I can appreciate a slightly large knot. Also, the feel of the tie is substantial. It is delicate, but not flimsy. I own other silk knit ties from Italy but this one has more heft than the other I own, But yet the tie retains its "thin" so-called rice-like appearance. My only question is why they call it french navy with it is more like a regular navy tie. But I will play along; french navy it is.

A rare mistake by Lands End. The weave is so large, and the silk backing so long, that it's impossible to make a knot that doesn't dominate one's whole shirtfront. I sent both of them back.

Poor color rendition
After waiting for 2 months for the French Navy color to arrive.....the color turned out to be black instead of blue. Its way too dark for french navy. I held up a black tie next to it and there was no difference between the two colors. The quality is fine its the color that's incorrect. It has been returned with no hassel from Landsend. Great customer service.

Great value, excellent for travel.
This tie is priced below the similarly made silk knit tie. It is a substantial weight, drapes well and ties an attractive knot. The only downside is the heavy grosgrain neck lining that catches on the knit when you tie it. LE should use a light weight material for the neck lining as does the maker of the similarly made tie.
