More isn't always better. So while we could make more ties in an hour, we prefer to take our time. As a result, we hand sew a mere 15 ties per hour — compared to machine-sewn versions that come off the line at 150 per hour.
We also use a self-fabric keeper instead of cheaper cloth, bartacking at both ends and a full lining to add more substance.
