John Maher brings a strong, well-rounded knowledge of the entire Lands’ End business to his role as senior vice president of Lands’ End Outfitters. A Lands’ End employee since 1980, Maher began his career as a retail associate at the first Lands’ End outlet store on Elston Avenue in Chicago and soon worked his way up to managing director of retail. He then went on to serve as director of licensing and full line store merchant.
Since 2006 Maher has been at the helm of the Lands’ End Outfitters division, where he oversees the Business Outfitters, School Uniform and Gift Card businesses. Maher is a seasoned Lands' End veteran and a strong business leader, with a proven track record of delivering business results by building and engaging high-performing teams. While heading up the division Maher has developed and implemented a new strategic vision for the business, expanding Business Outfitters capabilities by entering the uniform and branded products markets and reintroducing Lands’ End into the school uniform market with Lands’ End School. He demonstrates strong historical perspective and a passion for the business customer, with a continual eye toward new ideas that engage the customer and bring business value.
Maher is a member of the executive team and reports to Edgar Huber, the CEO and president of Lands' End. He attended Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois.
