At Lands’ End we have built a strong heritage of giving and making a difference in the communities where we live and work. We strongly believe in employee–directed giving. By giving their time and resources, our employees decide how our giving funds are directed. By working together, we have built a program of giving that just feels right.
Making Wishes Come True — Lands’ End employees care deeply for the well–being of their fellow co–workers. So we have created an internal caring program that grants the wishes of our very own employees. Whether it’s paying a heating bill, arranging for a special visit from Santa Claus, or sending someone overseas to visit an ill relative…we have granted many wishes that affect individual employees, but end up touching us all.
Employee Volunteerism Program — We have a unique program that not only encourages employees to volunteer, but rewards them for it. When employees volunteer for a non-profit organization, we will give a matching donation to the charity of their choice. This allows our employees to not only donate their time to causes they are passionate about, but to extend an extra hand through a financial contribution.
Habitat for Humanity — Lands’ End recently initiated a company–wide volunteer effort, partnering with Habitat for Humanity to provide a deserving family with a house in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. All employees have the opportunity to help out at the project site or assist at a local home at one of our offsite locations.
Walk/Run/Bike Event Support — When an employee signs up for a non–profit event, Lands' End will help pay the entry fee. This allows employees to support their favorite charities, while having some fun along the way.
United Way — Lands’ End makes providing a donation to the United Way easy for employees by offering automatic payroll deduction in addition to the company’s own charitable contribution to the organization.
American Red Cross — We partner with American Red Cross to host onsite blood drives, babysitting classes, swimming lessons, CPR and First Aid classes, as well as workshops for child care providers. In 2006, the Red Cross presented Lands’ End with the Corporate Good Samaritan Award for our charitable acts, donations, and financial contributions.
Community Events — Lands’ End partners with a number of cultural organizations in the communities in which we live and work. In 2007 we sponsored Dodgeville’s first ever Summer Concert Series, featuring wonderful music from local artists.
