Liquidations is responsible for efficiently selling overstock
and discontinued merchandise generated by various Lands' End
catalogs. Merchandise is divided among print liquidations (catalogs,
inserts, package stuffers), Internet and retail stores.

MERCHANDISING
|
Merchandising at Lands' End is a combination of creativity
and business know-how. Our merchandising team stays one step
ahead by researching trends, visiting marketplaces all over
the world, and keeping in constant touch with our customer by
monitoring feedback on current product offerings. Our merchants
are responsible for developing the product line, including all
financial planning, and determining which styles will appeal
to our customers.

QUALITY/SOURCING
|
Our quality area takes our designer's creations and makes
them into functional pieces. They work closely with our designers,
merchants and our manufacturing sources to ensure the fit, construction
and quality of our products. This includes everything from writing
our own size specifications to fabric content, grading, testing
of materials and inspecting. Our sourcing group finds the best
places in the world to produce our garments.

RETAIL
|
We have retail stores located in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota
and New York. Our stores offer high-quality Lands' End products
to our customers at a reduced catalog price. Management within
our stores has the responsibility for merchandising, training
staff members, managing inventory levels and overall store operations.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS
|
This area produces a catalog called Lands' End for School,
which targets schools involved in a uniform program. This group
is responsible for all marketing decisions, positioning, purchasing,
and planning of its products and catalogs.

TRANSPORTATION
|
This area is responsible for moving cargo to and from our
sources to destinations throughout the world. Transportation
works closely with our vendors and carriers to ensure that we
have timely delivery of our products to our distribution centers
in order to meet our customer needs.
