What are cookies?
“Cookies” are small data files that one of our servers sends to your computer via your Web browser when you connect with our Web site. Their primary function is to help us remember you by tracking your browsing sessions, which enables us to collect non-personally identifiable information (such as your IP address, browser type, and domain name, etc.), and provide you with a more relevant shopping experience.

Children’s Privacy at Lands’ End
Lands’ End does not sell products for purchase by children. We sell children’s products for purchase by adults. If you are under 18, you may use our website with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Moreover, Lands’ End is concerned about the safety of children. Occasionally, Lands’ End may conduct promotions or contests that allow children under the age of 13 to participate. In those instances, we will use reasonable efforts to obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any personally identifiable information from these participants. Rest assured that Lands’ End will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without making reasonable efforts to obtain verifiable parental consent. In addition, Lands’ End will not condition a child’s participation in an event on the provision of more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity, and Lands’ End will not sell that information and will only use that information in the manner that we disclose in the promotion or contest. In those instances where Lands’ End collects personal information from a child, that child’s parents or guardians will have the ability to review the information provided by their child by sending an e-mail message to myprivacy@landsend.com or to the e-mail address listed on the landsend.com Web page that collected their child's information. Parents or guardians may also request that Lands’ End not make contact with their child. If such a parental request is received, Lands’ End will make all reasonable efforts to make sure that no communications are sent to the child.
We go to great lengths to keep your financial information private and safe. All credit card transactions occur in a secure area of our site, to protect you from any loss, misuse or alteration of information collected. If that security were ever breached, it would cost you nothing — so you can buy online with confidence.
If you have additional questions regarding security at Lands’ End, please call us toll-free at 1-800-800-5800 or e-mail us, including your name and mailing address, at mysecurity@landsend.com.
Your financial information is safe
We use Secure Socket Layers (SSL), the industry standard in transferring information to process your orders. The SSL encrypts, or translates, your order information into a highly difficult to decipher code, which is processed immediately. In addition, we employ an outside company to "audit" our security and make sure it is trustworthy.
Your transactions are secure
When you've finished shopping and begin the checkout process, you will move into the secure area of our site. A warning window may pop up to notify you that you are entering this "safe" area. Once you've entered, the page address (URL) will change from http to https, to let you know you are in a secure area. Also, a key or a closed lock will appear in the lower left hand corner of your screen to notify you of this change. You will remain in this secure zone for the entire checkout process. In addition, you may consult the rules established by your browser to learn about other possible features that indicate that you are on a secure internet page.
Your transactions are guaranteed
We guarantee that your transactions are secure when you place an order through the Lands’ End site. In the unlikely event that anything happened with your credit card transaction, you would have no liability for any charges relating to that transaction. Here’s how it works: The Fair Credit Act states that your credit card company can only hold you liable for up to $50 in fraudulent charges to your credit card account. So that it will cost you nothing, Lands’ End will cover any amount up to $50 billed to you by your credit card company for any unauthorized charges to your account, if those charges result from an order you’ve placed on our secure server. Remember to promptly notify us and your credit card company of any fraudulent charges and follow the procedures relating to fraudulent charges outlined in your credit card agreement in order to get this protection. We'll work with your card company to minimize hassle for you. It's Guaranteed. Period.®
By accessing or using any features on landsend.com, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. We may periodically change these terms without providing prior notice. So, we recommend that you read these terms carefully each time you use this website.

Arbitration of any and all Disputes shall be conducted in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules with a three judge panel.
