Outerwear
The instructions we're giving
you for the care of Lands' End outerwear may seem complicated. Outer fabric,
lining, insulation and the finish are all factors that dictate care. But,
with patience and attention to detail, you will be rewarded by preserving
the quality, comfort and fit of some of your favorite garments.
Care instructions by fabric

Canvas, Denim, Nylon, Poplin, The Squall®
- Machine wash warm
water/normal cycle.
- Wash dark colors
separately.
- Use only non-chlorine
bleach when needed.
- Remove promptly from
washer.
- Tumble dry low, remove
promptly.
- Use warm iron if
needed.
Down-filled Gore-tex®**
- Machine wash warm
water/normal cycle.
- Tumble dry low with
clean tennis balls.
- May be dry cleaned.
- If you get caught
in the rain, the natural oils in the plumes tend to repel water-so
your coat will look a lot wetter outside than it is inside. Getting
wet does not hurt down, as long as it is properly dried within
a reasonable period of time. If this is not done, the down can
rot. So don't procrastinate!
